Summer Lovin’ Read-a-Thon Day 1: Class Orientation

Hey y’all! *waves enthusiastically* For those of you who don’t know me, or haven’t looked at the sidebar, the wonderful people in my life (and those I just introduced myself to) call me Jackie. Has a nice ring to it doesn’t it? Currently I reside in the very hot state of Texas. I’m just your regular high school bibliophile. Well, I don’t smell books. I have an issue with buying books and never getting around to actually reading them. I’m sure there’s some fancy medical word for it. Somewhere. When I was younger I had an unhealthy obsession with Scooby Doo (hey, he is amazing) and drawing.
Later in my elementary life, I discovered Junie B. Jones. This lovely series of books, all of which currently sit on my bookshelf, is what I believe started by obsession with the written word.

This is supposed to be an introduction and goal setting post.

I can’t seem to think of a better way to get to know me than my favorite Pinterest board: http://pinterest.com/Extraordinary98/bibliophile/
Or my Goodreads account: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/6732598-jackie
Or some random pictures which I really happen to like:

Or maybe even my Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/MidevilQueen/videos?view=1&flow=grid
Are you still here? Wow you must be awesome. Or have nothing better to do with your life. *shrugs* It’s one or the other.

Now, I need to set some goals right?

  • Be awesome and read a lot
  • Read Crow’s Row
  • Win prizes. Yeahhhh. Prizes. I like prizes.
  • Watch Grease
  • Eat bananas dipped in chocolate covered in peanut butter…preferably crunchy.

Okay, I think that’s pretty good.

Challenges:

July 1:
Teaser Tidbit: Crows Row by Julie Hockley “You’ll probably die if you stay with me,’ he told me.
‘Then I’m dead either way, because I won’t survive without you.”

July 2:

I would like to say that I actually love this original cover….wow that one I made looks even worse than I thought it would. Huh.

July 3: Welcome to the Darkness
Page 99: After escaping the clutches of the evil queen, Reed runs into the sons of the crazy vamp dude that killed his family, therefore, he killed. *insert evil laughter* But of course, Reed beings about 2 days old or so, gets a few ribs broken by the 400 year old vamp sons. Don’t worry though! Thanks to the vampire powers he acquired, he heals (rather painfully) in a matter of seconds.
July 4:

Jane, If I Should Die
The Story of Us, All Our Pretty Songs
Taken Through the Ever Night
Perfect Chemistry
Anything but Ordinary
