As their relationship develops, Lilliah learns of Marek’s dark past and of a brothers’ quarrel he has been embroiled in for years. The quarrel turns into a larger battle of good and evil, liberty versus tyranny, and the separation of love and lust.
With Lilliah as the ultimate prize, the deadly conflict reaches out to threaten her family, and the outcome of the final battle will determine her fate. Lilliah must embark on an unexpected path that teaches her to trust in the man she has come to love, and give of herself as she never thought she could….
This was a super cute, romantic read with a wholeee lot of action. I thought that Marek was a little stalkerish at first, but then as the novel continued he was sort of her knight in shining armor. Since I don’t really know what to say about this, except a lot of random thoughts in this review.
Marek has a secret that could tear them apart and a brother who is the true definition o evil. Lilliah, well, she’s very clumsy, seems to attract danger and has an ex- fiancee.
A few problems I had with the book. It felt really long. After we got to the ranch it was less focused on our leading stars and more on the relationships of the others. Though Lilliah was an expert at messing up.
Over all I liked the first half of the book was more than the second. The Scent of a Soul was very well written, just a bit lengthy.
Thanks Jennifer for giving me a copy to review!!
